Czech violin virtuoso Josef Suk Jr was born on this day in 1929.

Passing away in 2011, Maestro Suk is remembered as one of the finest concert violinists of the 20th Century.

He is the grandson of violinist and composer Josef Suk Sr - and the great-grandson of composer Antonín Dvořák.
