Ligonier Country Market offers pollinator education, music duo

Visitors to Saturday’s Ligonier Country Market will have the opportunity to learn about pollination from Penn State master gardeners and Weeders and Seeders.

Local duo Lauren Condon and Chris Volpe will bring their mix of musical styles to the Ligonier Country Market on Saturday.

Ligonier Country Market brings back musical duo Lauren Condon and Chris Volpe, a market favorite, according to a news release, this Saturday.

Performing together since the early 1980s, the two blend musical styles including funk, soul, rock, pop, Motown, country and bluegrass into their acoustic duo performance, the release states.

Also during the Aug. 18 market, Penn State master gardeners and the Weeders and Seeders will host a pollinator treasure hunt.

Participants will learn how to encourage pollinators in their gardens, and learn all about the plants that help, the release adds.

The market is open 8 a.m. to noon.
