Who can apply Young violinists of all nationalities born after January 1, 1996. It is possible to apply for a category above one’s age group, but participation is limited to only one category.
Categories and age groups Soloists: 21–30 years Cat. A: 6–8 years Cat. B: 9–10 years Cat. C: 11–12 years Cat. D: 13–14 years Cat. E: 15–17 years Cat. F: 18–20 years
Structure Soloists: three rounds — preliminary (solo violin), semifinal (with piano), and final (with orchestra). Categories A–F: single round with a free-choice program (length varies according to the category); Category F also includes a compulsory piece.
Main prizes Soloists: • Violin crafted by luthier Giovanni Osvaldo Fiori • 4 concert engagements during 2026–2027 in prestigious venues (Mantua, Lake Iseo, Messina, Bologna) • Opening concert of the 3rd edition of the Prize (2028) • Cash awards Categories A–F: • Prizes for each category, including recitals for the winners |
