Section Cello –Per-Service, Permanent – National – starting Spring 2018
Lots will be drawn at 9:00am. Auditions will begin at 10:00am. Candidates who are not present for the drawing of lots may be refused an audition.
National auditions for Section Cello will be held at the Capitol Theatre, Windsor, Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
WSO Season: 33 weeks, September to May, comprised of Masterworks, Chamber Orchestra, Education, Pops, and small ensemble services.
Remuneration for 2017-2018 to be confirmed upon completion of negotiations. Remuneration for 2016-2017 is as follows:
Section Cello: minimum 40 services guaranteed at $110.16 plus 7.0% pension
The musicians of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra are Canadian members of the American Federation of Musicians, and all musicians contracted by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra must become members of Local 566. All WSO auditions in the Spring of 2018 are National; all applicants must be Canadian Citizens or have Permanent Resident Status and be eligible to work in Canada. Please note that the successful candidate for Section Cello will be eligible for travel compensation and hotel accommodations when engaged for services with the WSO, as necessary.
