The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen with its Artistic Director Paavo Järvi is one of the most vibrant and varied orchestras of our time. Every musician is shareholder of the ensemble and plays an active role in the decision-making process concerning programming, concert tours, education and the interests of the orchestral community. The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen Academy offers outstanding, visionary instrumentalists an excellent two-year scholarship programme which will equip them for successful career in the cultural landscape of the 21st century. Successful applicants will receive individual instrumental tuition and will follow orchestral studies and chamber music courses with orchestra members. Focal points of the programme will be the participation in the Orchestra’s various projects and concerts tours, including the outreach and education activities in the ›Zukunftslabor‹ (›Future Lab‹). Furthermore, the participants will follow a comprehensive curriculum for musical and personal development with regard to the challenges of the cultural landscape of the 21st Century. Members of the Academy are also invited to join projects in association with Junge Deutsche Philharmonie. Conditions: The appointment will start on 1st March 2019 Successful applicants will receive a monthly scholarship of €800 plus travel expenses and a contribution to accommodation costs in Bremen Appointees will be in Bremen for approximately 90 days per year.
