About Dalasinfoniettan
Dalasinfoniettan is a chamber orchestra active in the beautiful and culturally rich region of Dalarna. The orchestra is set to expand from 28 to 30 full-time musicians, coinciding with Musik i Dalarna and Dalasinfoniettan’s move into their new concert hall in Falun in 2023. In recent years, the orchestra has performed with international soloists such as Janine Jansen, Evelyn Glennie, Martin Fröst and Víkingur Ólafsson and enjoys regular collaborations with leading Baroque specialist Reinhard Goebel and violinist/director Malin Broman. Regular guest conductors include Tobias Ringborg, Claire Levacher and Ariel Zuckermann. Dalasinfoniettan is a flexible ensemble which feels at home playing folk, jazz, pop and everything in between alongside the whole classical repertoire. When not playing as a chamber orchestra, all musicians take active roles in chamber music, smaller ensemble and education productions which reach a broad range of audiences across the whole of Dalarna.
Please note that non-EU residents need a work permit in Sweden.
