The Orchestra Academy of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra is a training programme that extends over a period of one to two years. The scholarship includes individual instrumental lessons with orchestra members, participation in the orchestra's intensive rehearsals and public concerts, the preparation of chamber music works and general mentoring by members of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. Audition training, workshops and, if possible, participation in international concert tours round off the training. The scholarship is endowed with € 950 per month.
Requirements for participation in the Orchestra Academy are: - Age limit: 26 years (at the time of the audition). - Study at a conservatoire - Passed audition - Passing the audition period (4 months) - Good knowledge of German
