The Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH is the oldest merged theater in Germany and employs around 500 people. It has departments for musical theater, ballet and drama, as well as the orchestra "Niederrheinische Sinfoniker". Numerous special events, extensive theater and concert education, and projects to promote young artists complement the theater's broad profile. Around 600 events take place annually on the two main stages, the Studiobühne Mönchengladbach and in the external venues Fabrik Heeder, Seidenweberhaus and Kaiser-Friedrich-Halle.
