As 1st Principal Cellist in the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, you will play a central role as leader of the cello section and as an active chamber musician. In addition to performing core string orchestra repertoire, the position offers opportunities to engage with symphonic works and chamber music at the highest artistic level, while also participating in audience engagement activities and community-based projects. Orchestral and chamber music excerptsThe orchestral excerpts will be sent as a PDF file to candidates invited to the audition after the application period has ended. Candidates are encouraged to use their own accompanist. If necessary, a pianist provided by the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra will be available for the audition. No rehearsal with the orchestra’s pianist will be arranged in advance.
