The Vienna Classic Violin Competition is one of the six contests being organised within the Six Ways to Classic Violin Olympus initiative.
Taking place from the 1st to the 5th of April 2024 at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, this will be the second entry in the series, with contestants going head-to-head in front of a 5-person jury board composed of various globally-acclaimed artists from around the world.
Violinists will be competing over a number of rounds, the last of which will be streamed live online, challenging each other for a €35,000 prize fund, as well as the chance to win entry to the invite-only Classic Violin Olympus competition, which will be held in Dubai, UAE, from the 22nd to the 28th of April 2025, featuring €310,000 worth of monetary prizes as well as other awards and opportunities for all finalists there. |
