informations Festival Virtuoso & Belcanto Lucca, 16 luglio – 29 luglio, 2018 Il Festival Virtuoso & Belcanto si basa su tre elementi strettamente connessi fra di loro: • Corsi di perfezionamento con la presenza di prestigiosi Maestri internazionali; • Concorsi riservati agli iscritti ai corsi di perfezionamento; • Concerti tenuti dagli artisti ospiti e dai migliori studenti presenti. I corsi di perfezionamento Virtuoso & Belcanto sono dei veri e propri programmi didattici: gli studenti ammessi infatti avranno la possibilità di studiare con alcuni degli artisti più importanti della scena mondiale. L’unicità del nostro progetto consiste nel fatto che ogni allievo potrà fare lezione con tutti i docenti del proprio strumento. Quindi durante le due settimane di corso lo studente potrà fruire di straordinarie occasioni di approfondimento e conoscenza con alcune delle più rilevanti personalità musicali mondiali. Allo stesso tempo gli studenti iscritti avranno un’occasione unica di confronto con giovani musicisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Nel corso delle passate edizioni abbiamo avuto studenti di altissimo livello provenienti da 41 differenti Paesi del mondo e da tutti e 5 i Continenti. La musica da camera riveste un ruolo centrale nelle nostre attività. Per questo tutti gli studenti ammessi sono automaticamente iscritti sia al programma strumentale che cameristico – salvo specifiche richieste. I seguenti strumenti saranno al centro del programma didattico: violino / viola / violoncello / pianoforte e fortepiano / gruppi cameristici. Tutti gli iscritti strumentisti ad arco potranno prendere parte alle attività dedicate al repertorio di orchestra da camera tenute dal M° Jan Bjøranger. Ci sarà anche uno speciale workshop chiamato Esperienza Classica dove un selezionato gruppo di studenti lavorerà su strumenti originali. Il quartetto d’archi vincitore del Premio Adolfo Betti dovrà inoltre esibirsi nel concerto organizzato da Animando – Centro di Promozione Musicale il giorno 28 luglio a Bagni di Lucca (LU), pena la decadenza del premio. ==== Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival Lucca, 16 July – 29 July, 2018 The Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival centers on three interconnected elements: • Summer course with prestigious international teachers; • Competitions open exclusively to students enrolled in the masterclasses; • Concerts performed by guest artists and selected course students. A unique feature of this course is that each student will have the opportunity to take lessons with all the teachers of his or her instrument. This means that during the two weeks of the course, the student will be able to take advantage of working with some of the most relevant musical personalities in the world. At the same time, students will be able to compare their musical experiences to the ones of other young musicians from all over the world. Past seasons have welcomed students of exceptional talent, coming from 41 different countries and from all 5 continents. Chamber music has a central role in the course. To this end, all students are automatically enrolled in both the solo instrument category and the chamber music category, save special requests. The following instruments will the mainstay of the course: violin / viola / cello / piano and fortepiano / chamber music ensembles. All registered string players will be allowed to take part in the activities dedicated to the chamber orchestra repertoire, headed by Maestro Jan Bjøranger. There will also be a special workshop called Esperienza Classica in which a selected group of students will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with period instruments. Five competitions are planned on themes of virtuosity and belcanto, reserved for those musicians participating in the summer course (piano, violin, viola, cello and chamber music). The program of the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival will include a rich series of concerts and presentation throughout the entire two weeks, featuring both renowned artists and talented young musicians from all over the world. All the winners will be required to perform in the concert dedicated to them on the evening of July 27th. Winners failing to perform in this concert will not be awarded a prize. The juries of the different competitions will decide who will perform in the winners’ concert. The winning string quartet of the Adolfo Betti award will also be expected to perform in the concert organized by Animando -Centro di Promozione Musicale on the 28th of July in Bagni di Lucca LU. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting the award prize. The Adolfo Betti award, offered by Animando -Centro di Promozione Musicale, dedicated to the best string quartet participating in the Virtuoso & Belcanto Chamber Music competition, may also be cumulative with other awards in the same competition.
