The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music at the University of Melbourne and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) have partnered to offer aspiring orchestral musicians an intensive, practically-focused masters degree.
All students, over the two year course, will perform several times with the world-class Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, be mentored by MSO musicians, study one-to-one with internationally renowned instrumental teachers, understand the inner workings of orchestral management, develop skills to perform under pressure, train for successful audition experiences, and prepare for a sustainable, elite-level orchestral career. Every graduate is currently employed as a professional musician
This course is based in the brand new Ian Potter Southbank Centre located in the heart of Melbourne’s Arts Precinct – a great place to start in this industry.
