The Orchestra Academy has been in existence since 2013. Each academy member receives a mentor from the orchestra and the training includes the following points: - Duration: two years - Participation in concerts and productions of the WDR Symphony Orchestra - individual lessons - chamber music - audition training - mental coaching - monthly scholarship 950,- Euro - Prerequisite for receiving a scholarship at the Orchestra Academy is a knowledge of German comparable to the Goethe Institute's B2 certificate (https://www.goethe.de/de/spr/kup/prf/prf/gb2.html) or a corresponding knowledge of English.
