The Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra is an A orchestra according to TVK.
The Robert Schumann Philharmonic is one of the largest orchestras in eastern Germany with 99 permanent positions. Chemnitz will be the European Capital of Culture in 2025, and with this in mind, the coming years will be enlivened with numerous attractive cultural projects involving the Robert Schumann Philharmonic. The Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra plays concerts in the Stadthalle Chemnitz, among other places, but also opera and ballet services in the opera house. The orchestra is known far beyond the city's borders and regularly gives guest performances at home and abroad.
