Orchestra Academy of the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra e.V.
The scholarship lasts 12 months and is remunerated with €920 per month. The scholarship holders take part in concerts at the Essen Philharmonie as well as opera and ballet productions at the Aalto Theatre. In addition, the scholarship holders are accompanied by mentors from the ranks of the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra and regular audition training, mental coaching and chamber music are organised. The prerequisite for a scholarship from the Orchestra Academy is a completed or shortly to be completed music degree. The maximum age is 28 years. Applicants must have a residence permit and/or work permit for the entire duration of the relevant season. Further information on the Orchestra Academy can be found at: www.orchesterakademie-essen.de
The Aalto Theatre is a 10-minute walk from the main railway station. Unfortunately, we are not able to reimburse travelling expenses.
