The non-profit organisation Orchesterakademie Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal e. V. has been in existence since 2019.
With the Orchestra Academy, the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra now enables selected university students to gain valuable professional experience in a professional orchestra. This practical experience greatly increases the students' chances of gaining employment in an orchestra after the academy.
The academy comprises several modules that include lessons, audition training, mental training and chamber music, among other things.
A monthly stipend of 800 euros is paid for this scholarship.
A current proof of enrolment is required to apply.
Two Academy positions will be awarded at this audition, one each in the 1st and 2nd violins. The audition positions are the same for all applicants, regardless of violin group.
Please note that no travelling or accommodation expenses will be covered for participation in the audition.

On-site auditions are usually possible from 2 hours before the start of the audition.
Please note that we do not cover any travelling or accommodation costs.
This also applies to travelling piano accompanists.
