Butterfly Lands On Flute Player’s Face During International Competition

Wooed by the beautiful sound of Yukie Ota‘s flute during the Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition, a majestic butterfly wanted a front-row seat.

So it did what butterflies do, fluttering its wings and landing directly on Ota’s nose.

The Japanese flutist wasn’t phased in the least, embracing the butterfly’s magnificent landing — only to usher it gently away as she completed her performance.
