Since 2019, there has been the non-profit association, the Orchesterakademie Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal e.V.. With the Orchesterakademie, the Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal now enables selected students from a university to gain valuable professional experience in a professional orchestra. This practical relevance increases the chances of the students many times over of getting a job in an orchestra after the academy.
The academy includes several modules, including lessons, audition training, mental training and chamber music, among other things.
A monthly stipend of 900 euros is paid for this scholarship.
A prerequisite for application is a current proof of enrollment. In addition, the age limit for submitting an application is 27 years (i.e. birthday on or after September 1, 1998, not before).
At this audition, 2 positions will be awarded, one in the 1st Viola section and one in the 2nd Violin section.
Please note that no travel or accommodation costs will be covered for participation in the audition.
An audition date will be announced shortly.
Warming up on site is possible from 2 hours before the start of the audition.
