The Philharmonic Orchestra Vorpommern Greifswald / Stralsund is one of four professional orchestras in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As such, it is active both as the orchestra of the Vorpommern theatre in opera, operetta, musicals and ballet and as a concert orchestra with its own concert series as well as numerous special concerts, national concert activities and radio recordings.
A written invitation is required to take part in the audition. The theatre is usually open from 07:00. The orchestra office is only staffed from 08.00. On arrival, please report to the gate. The audition takes place on the main stage. The order will be drawn by lot. The first round will be played anonymously behind a wall. Please be sure to bring your own sheet music for the pianist. The tuning of the grand piano is 443 Hz. You will have the opportunity to communicate with the pianist from one and a half hours before the start. Travel and accommodation costs will not be reimbursed. There is no parking at the theatre. Parking between the theatre and the pond is prohibited! Paid parking is available on the streets and in the underground car park nearby. No hygiene measures apply at the time of the announcement.
