The Tibor Junior International Violin Competition, Switzerland, is open to all violinists, irrespective of gender or nationality, born between 31 August 2002 and 1 April 2007 (from 14 to 18 years). This Competition also offers some original features: • Through each stage of the Competition, participants will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra. • Candidates not selected at each round will join the jury in the following round and will participate in public events and concerts. • In the first round, each candidate will play in duo with another candidate. In the final, candidates will play in duo with a member of the jury.

Among others Prizes: • First Prize: CHF 5’000. • Second Prize: CHF 2’000. • Third Prize: CHF 1’000. • Public Prize: CHF 500. • Sion Violon Musique Foundation Prize: a violin from the Tibor Varga Collection (Violin Workshop Jérémie Bonnet, in Sion) will be awarded to one of the candidates.
