Informationen

We, the Thuringian Symphony Orchestra Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, are a traditional and versatile concert and theatre orchestra in the heart of Thuringia. The long history of our orchestra goes back to the Rudolstadt court orchestra founded in 1635; the orchestra in its current composition was formed from the merger of the Rudolstadt theatre orchestra with the Saalfeld symphony orchestra.
In addition to our major symphony concerts, the festive palace concerts and a variety of concert formats for all age groups and social classes, we endeavour to provide attractive and varied work for children and young people. The orchestra's tasks also include completing our subscriptions with musical theatre productions from the fields of opera, operetta, musicals and ballet.
We cultivate a collegial and friendly atmosphere and are looking for committed artists who want to work with us to further develop the success story of our orchestra.
