We currently have a total of 175% positions available in the 1st violins’ tutti section (one 100% and one 75%). The Orchestra of the Zurich Opera House is one of the most versatile opera orchestras. Each season, nine opera premieres and two ballet premieres are staged in Zurich, alongside 17–20 different revivals. The Philharmonic concert series, comprising six concerts, is complemented by special and gala concerts, whilst an attractive chamber music series rounds off the artistic program. The Zurich Opera House offers a unique feature in the form of its in-house ensemble ‘La Scintilla’, which enables opera and concert performances to be staged using historically informed performance practice. The training and further education of the musicians is actively supported and promoted for this purpose.
