Kurt Sanderling Academy of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin Prerequisites for participation: Completed undergraduate studies, ongoing or completed postgraduate studies. A maximum age of 29 years. The duration of the academy is 12 months, with the option of extension (by arrangement). The Orchestra Academy scholarship includes lessons on the main instrument as well as participation in rehearsals and performances of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. You will be assigned a mentor for your main instrument. The monthly commitment can be up to 15 services during the season, with a maximum of 150 services per year. They are also required to take part in (chamber music) concerts organised by the Orchestra Academy. In addition, regular audition training sessions are held with the mentors of the Konzerthausorchester and you will receive individual seminars with a musician psychologist (including performance training, mental training, etc.). You will receive monthly payments totalling €900.00 (gross) for the duration of your membership of the Academy. After the application deadline, the participants in the audition will be selected by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. Invitations or cancellations will only be sent out after the application deadline.
