The Young Artists Program, founded by Pinchas Zukerman in 1999, offers outstanding private instruction and chamber music coaching with career-related sessions and mentoring as well as performance opportunities including chamber music concerts, Masterclasses, and recitals.
Seventy exceptionally talented, classically trained young artists from around the world keen to steep themselves in individual instruction and to explore “musical conversation” within a chamber music community of peers, will be selected to study with an internationally renowned faculty in a comprehensive program in Ottawa.

For string players of grade 5 to ARSM diploma and pianist of grade 8 to ARSM diploma (or above).
Repertoire is drawn from the classics and we do our best to accommodate requests, especially from pianists. Most players come as individuals, but pre-formed groups are also welcome.
Tutors James Young (violin and viola) and Vivienne (cello and bass) will bring out the best in your playing for a fun an rewarding week.
The venue is a tranquil old farm in deepest rural SW France. Facilities include acres of woods and meadows and a lovely saltwater pool. Delicious and healthy food and plenty of local wine.

The 12-day-long Crescendo Summer Institute will be organized for the 15th time this year, in the fabulous Hungarian town, Tokaj.
Musician professors coming from all over the world welcome students to their solo lessons, chamber and orchestral music courses.
Our students are provided with numerous opportunities to play at concerts, take part in audition master classes, to play baroque, contemporary music and even jazz.
A special feature of the Crescendo Summer Institute is the opportunity to participate in small group or private talks where the personal, psychological problems, difficulties that musicians have to face are discussed.

PRISMA 2018: June 11-23
Do you want to play The Rite of Spring this June? Applications are open for the 2018 PRISMA Festival until Feb. 28. Substantial full and partial scholarships are available. The Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy provides two weeks of world-class music education on the beautiful West Coast of Canada, June 11-23.
The 2018 repertoire includes:
Stravinsky – The Rite of Spring
Respighi – Fountains of Rome
Elgar – In the South (Alassio)
R. Strauss – Josephs Legende
Berlioz – Harold in Italy (soloist Máté Szücs, principal viola Berlin Philharmonic)
Participants receive dedicated support daily from Guest Artists:
Mark Morton was principal bass of the Columbus (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra, in which he was a member for 23 years. He is now Associate Professor of Double Bass at Texas Tech University, and principal bass of both the Lubbock Symphony and the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestras.
Since cellist Yegor Dyachkov was proclaimed Artist of the Year by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 2000, he has performed throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia, Canada and the United States.
Cellist Brian Yoon has been described by the Canadian Broadasting Corporation as “Canada’s next cello superstar”. Currently the Principal Cello of the Victoria Symphony, he has been a guest principal with the National Arts Centre Orchestra.

Nantwen Chamber Music Summer School
A small, friendly and relaxed course for adult amateur string players of any level. A maximum of sixteen participants play alongside our excellent tutors in quartets, trios, & quintets. During the course, you work intensively on a piece with the option to perform it informally on the final morning of our chamber music summer school. There are two course to choose from, course 1 runs from Thursday the 2nd to Sunday the 5th of August, and course 2 runs from Thursday the 9th to Sunday the 12th of August.
The cost of the course is £400, this includes all tutoring and delicious organic homemade food. Local accommodation can be found nearby. If you book the course before the 1st of December 2018 then benefit fro our early bird fee of £377

For performance diploma level woodwind, brass, strings and piano players. Up to 19 players in total. We are aiming to include Stravinsky Soldier's Tale, Walton Façade and Wagner Siegfried Idyll and other excellent works. Repertoire is, however, dependent on getting the right line up of players.
We'll work hard and play hard with gentle but highly productive guidance from Peter Davies.

Certificate: The Practice of Music Making
The Certificate: The Practice of Music Making is a unique one-year distance learning programme developed by Trinity Laban, in partnership with the Open University.
Delivered online with a residential learning week at Trinity Laban in London, CPMM is available as a stand-alone programme, and can also count towards degree study with the Open University.
The programme is designed for adult instrumentalists and singers who participate in any genre of music and there are no auditions to gain entry. It’s suited to those who make music regularly in a group or ensemble who would like to further develop their skills. You might be an army musician, jazz, folk, rock or pop performer, sing in a choir or play in an orchestra, for example.
Perfect for those who have learned to sing or play music without gaining a formal qualification, those who wish to return to music making after a time away and those who have previously studied music and wish to further develop their performance skills.

TSO/OSU Graduate Fellowships in String Orchestral Performance
Oklahoma State University, the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, the Patti Johnson Wilson Foundation, and the OSU Department of Music's String Area announce three graduate fellowships for 2018: one violin, one cello and one bass position.
A two-year program, this fellowship will allow qualified applicants to pursue a graduate degree at OSU while performing as section players with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
Accepted applicants can expect to receive tuition waivers as well as health benefits while they are enrolled in the program.
Candidates must apply to and be accepted by both the OSU Graduate College and the Department of Music Master of Music program.
The application for admission to the Graduate College must be submitted online.
