Remuneration

SELECTION PROCESS
Both Positions will be auditioned alongside each other.

Applicants must be available both days.

Following application you will be required to confirm via email if you are auditioning for Assistant Principal, Tutti, or both positions.

Further details regarding the audition day will be advised after the closing date.

Applicants unable to attend the audition are encouraged to submit a recorded audition no later than 12pm AEST Friday 02 August 2024. Recorded Requirements + Declaration is available for download upon application.

An accompanist will be provided for live auditions.

Audition Requirements
Set works (to be played with piano accompaniment)
1. 1st movement exposition only, no cadenza AND 2nd movement:
- Hoffmeister Viola Concerto in D major; OR
- Stamitz Viola Concerto in D major

2. 1st movement:
- Bartok Viola Concerto (any edition); OR
- Hindemith Der Schwanendreher; OR
- Walton Viola Concerto

Excerpts – tutti (to be played solo)
plus
Three orchestral solo excerpts (if applying for the Assistant Principal position)
