The Kammerakademie Potsdam founded its own orchestra academy, KAPcampus, in 2018. The next 2-year training programme starts on 1 August 2024 The programme includes participation in concerts, CD recordings and guest performances by the orchestra as well as participation in masterclasses, chamber music and music education workshops. In addition to remuneration for the orchestra projects (an average of €600 per month), the academy participants receive an annual scholarship of €3,000 from a foundation. As an independent entrepreneurial orchestra, the KAP has set itself the goal of combining the highest level of artistic excellence with social commitment. The orchestra academy aims to enable young musicians to commit themselves to these goals and to take the initiative for their own concert and mediation formats in order to prepare themselves for the diverse demands of professional life as an independent musician.
