Contract
Fixed-term contract of one year from a date to be agreed. It may be renewed to a permanent contract in case of a satisfactory performance evaluation.
Participants
Musicians are eligible to participate
-Chilean nationals with residence in any country
or
-foreigners residing in Chile.
Duties of the position
The duties of the position include, among others
Participate as leader/chief conductor in the programmes of the symphonic season.
Participate in chamber, educational and dissemination programmes, among others, according to programming needs.
Set bows according to the indications of the concertmaster and/or conductor, ensure the good technical-musical performance of his/her row in rehearsals and concerts and take charge of partial rehearsals when they are scheduled.
Receipt and review of videos and background information
A first review of videos and background information will take place on Monday 17 June, and the first list of participants selected for the in-person stage will be announced no later than Monday 24 June.
Applications received after that date and no later than Monday 1 July will be reviewed and responded to within one week of receipt.
In-person audition
The audition will take place on Monday 22 July from 14:30 at the Teatro Universidad de Concepción, Chile.
Audition programme
After the audition, the commission may, if it deems it necessary, invite one or more candidates to participate as a leader in a programme on a date to be agreed. |
