Hiroshi Mihara

1 Jan 1973, Okayama, Japan

He was born in 1973 in Okayama in Japan.
In 2008 he enrolled in the technical academy of musical instruments in Chubu(violin making section) and has learned the construction and restoration.
In 2010 he graduated and decided to move to Italy and enrolled at the International School of Violin Making "Antonio Stradivari" where he was a student of maestro Giorgio Scolari.
In 2013,Started working in the laboratory of Giorgio Scolari.
He returned to Japan in December 2014.
In May 2015, he opened his own workshop in Hiroshima.
From 2019 to 2022,at the request of Hiroshima University,he made a quartet consisting of two violins,a viola,and a cello using parts of trees that survived the atomic boming.


Awarded the second prize in the national competition of the 6th Pisogne in the Youth category in the violin section in 2012.
In 2013 he got a third prize in the viola section.
In 2014 he received a second award in the category Free violin section.
In 2018, he won a bronze medal at the 7th International Violin Making Competition "ViolinoArvenzis".
In the same year he won a special prize at the 9th ANLAI, the Kazanlak International Violin Making Competition.
