Nato a Cremona nel 1954, fin da piccolo è appassionato di musica e in particolare del violino.

Ha frequentato la Scuola internazionale di Liuteria di Cremona sotto la guida dei maestri Giobatta Morassi e Pietro Sgarabotto, diplomandosi nel 1972.
Svolge la sua attività in Cremona costruendo e restaurando violini, viole, violoncelli e contrabbassi. Per la costruzione usa modelli classici cremonesi e personali prestando particolare attenzione all’acustica e impiegando materiale di ottima qualità.
Tutte le fasi della lavorazione sono eseguite esclusivamente a mano. I suoi strumenti sono impiegati da concertisti e sono venduti in tutto il mondo.
Il suo interesse primario è l’acustica e dedica particolare attenzione alla messa a punto e regolazione degli strumenti. Ha partecipato a numerose esposizioni.
E’ fondatore e membro del Consorzio “Liutai & Archettai A. Stradivari“ di Cremona. -
Born in Cremona in 1954, since his childhood he has been fond of music, and especially of violins.
He attended the International Violinmaking School of Cremona, where he graduated in 1972, after studying with masters like Giobatta Morassi and Pietro Sgarabotto.
He has his workshop in Cremona, where he makes and restores violins, violas, cellos and doublebasses. He uses classic Cremonese models as well as his own ones, paying particular attention to acoustics and using excellent quality material.
His instruments, made by hand in each stage of the construction, are used by concertists and sold all over the world.
His primary interest lies in acoustics, and he pays particular attention to the setting-up of instruments.
He took part in several ehibitions, and he is member of Cremona "Antonio Stradivari Violin and Bow Makers Consortium".
