Moroz Violins

I received my training in violin making at the Violin Making School of America, in Salt Lake City, Utah, graduating with a Luthier degree in 1982. This is a professional four-year school, considered one of the best in the world. Following graduation, I worked at Eric Chapman Violins in New York, studying repair and restoration under master restorer and violinmaker Amos Hargrave.

From 1984 to 1991, I specialized in the repair, restoration, making and dealing of fine violin-family instruments, first in Kentucky and then in Illinois. In 1991, I established Moroz Violins in Burlington, Vermont, and have since devoted my full attention to making violins, violas and cellos for the professional, the talented student and the serious amateur. Since moving to Salt Lake City in 2005, we continue to make instruments which are available at fine violin shops around the country, as well as at our own shop here on 9th South in Salt Lake City.
