In December 1987 masterdegree at Handwerkskammer Hamburg.

September 1988 silvermedal at Ente triennale di Cremona, category: violin

November 1988 Certificate of Merit, category: craftsmanship violin at the international violin making competition of the Violin Society of America in Minneapolis.

Employment as parttime teacher at the school of violinmaking in Mittenwald, 2009-2011.

Establishing branch in Munich, 2004, begin of intense new making, some restorationwork.

Since April 2012 workshop for new making in Tyrol, Austria.

In the approach to making instruments of the classical period I emphasise on creating similar conditions to those, under which these masterworks came to life. Therefore it is fundamentally important to work with only few intelligently shaped tools, constantly improoving the skill in using those, in order to arrive at an instrument with a soul, that breathes, that pleases eye and ear.
