Main Responsibilities
Sit as Tutti 1st Violin
Maintain the high standard of professional playing and musical and artistic excellence required by the Orchestra.
Familiarise oneself with the relevant parts, including solos, in advance of the first rehearsal and performances.
Support professionally any Leaders and Conductors engaged by the Orchestra.
Take responsibility for the style, intonation, balance, ensemble, rhythm and preparation of the section in conjunction with Leaders and the Chief Conductor.
Foster an environment in which artistic excellence flourishes.
For Application Video: please record in the following order
1st mov of a Mozart Violin Concerto (exposition only)
Brahms Symphony No4, Op.98, 3rd movement - from the beginning to the downbeat of B
Live Auditions
Set Pieces (accompanied)
Any Mozart Violin Concerto 1st movement (Beginning to recapitulation, no cadenza)
Any Romantic or 20th Century Violin Concerto (approximately 3 mins of 1st movement)
